After the monthly progress exam, students often ask me how they can improve their English.
How can you improve your English?
1. Speak as much English as possible, inside and outside of the class. Speaking in your native language does not help with the development of your English.
2. Be an active participant in class. Listen and ask questions as much as possible. Be on time.
3. Avoid messaging, emailing, working, shopping, searching, etc. on your devices in your native language during class time. Be present physically and mentally!
4. In class, almost everything you do should be in English... write in English, search in English, read in English, talk in English, etc. . Your class, or even the school, should be an English only Zone, no matter what time of day it is.
5. Read every day in English something that interests you and something you are comfortable with on your own time for at least 20 minutes.
6. Listen to English news, an English podcast or an English listening site every day. Listen to something that interests you and something you are comfortable with on your own time for at least 20 minutes.
